Hsl/LG22, 9.28.

Capt. Forsyth has been on the 'phone this morning and stated that the A.M. would like us to start the M.S/C. type test as soon as possible.

The first test they want us to carry out is the one with the standard engine No.113 which is at present being built by the Works.

This test will be carried out at the 525 HP. rating.

The test on F.XI No.13 with the 600 HP. rating is still required but if we can complete a satisfactory test on No.113 engine it means that the M/S/C. can be put into service machines.

No.113 engine will be a std. engine in every way except that we shall fit to it the long duration camshafts. These camshafts are available and can be supplied by the experimental Dept.

Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}
