I thank you for the particulars of the
Cambridge Scientific Instrument Co.'s machine for
measuring pitch of threads.

If we have any trouble in the Works, it
might be worth while to have such an appratus.

At present I am a little bit inclined to
think it would be extravagant, but anything is better
than making bad work.
