Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} 1 JUL 1926 RECEIVED X5430 BY/HEB{H. Biraben} c. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} BYL/H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} 5.7.26. 20 HP. STEERING COLUMN. In order to clear away any doubt as to whether West WitteringHenry Royce's home town were intending to bring in the new type stay on the old type column, I wired to Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} on the subject. His reply is that West WitteringHenry Royce's home town expect us to use the stays in question. This would mean that as soon as we are able to bring in the new stay we should have to scrap existing parts. Before we make an absolute final decision on this, it will be necessary for me to put up the amount of scrap to BJ. for his consent. Will BY/HEB.{H. Biraben} give the Works a list of the parts, find out when we are likely to have details of the new piece ready, and give me the cost of the probable scrap. I attach hereto copy of Dal/M.{Mr Moon / Mr Moore} 2.7.26. BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} ENCLOSURE No 772 "JUSTSO" | ||
