(b). ENGINE OUTPUT.
A number of points were put forward on the basis of which engine power could be slightly increased. These were fitted on the cars run by Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} and Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}, but it is doubtful whether it is desirable to introduce the features in question, which result in increased wear and tear on the engine when the same thing can be achieved by bringing down body weights. The question of performance arises only in connection with cars fitted with bodies anything from 2 to 4 cwts. over average weight for such bodies.

In response to a question by Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} as to whether the modifications in question could be introduced on 'C' series if desired, it was found that this was not possible, as we were already too far committed to permit of it.

Following 'C' series, we are hoping it may be possible to introduce "Silver Wraith" 6 cylinder. This, however, is still a matter for discussion.

EXPERIMENTAL CARS.

In regard to reducing the number of Wraith cars running in the Experimental Department, we have handed 24.G.Vl.{V. Lewis / Mr Valentine} over to Transport.
