Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} 84027. BY.20/G.2.12.32. PEREGRINE MATERIAL. ------------------ BY.17/G.30.11.32. did not represent release of material but merely release for tool designs. We had overlooked the bottom half, but the other parts you mention are all having attention. As a matter of fact we have completed the design for the rear axle with stiffer operating shaft and 20/25 method of adjustment, as we consider that this is well tested, simple and reliable, and we propose to detail at the earliest opportunity. The front axle will be right for forging, as we here again intend to follow 20/25 practice, using a hollow shaft for stiffness with a spring passing through the centre. Again we shall use 20/25 sizes. In regard to the silent second, we definitely held up the 2nd. motion shaft that these pieces are connected with. Before giving instructions for the 200 sets of parts we are awaiting a general outline from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}, which he promised us, as to which parts he considers it safe to order. In Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}4/MA.23.11.32. you mention a number of parts which, of course, we are clear about. BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} | ||
