+360 To Rn.{Mr Robinson} 13th January, 1936. 34-EX. Car is surprisingly good after 11,000 miles. Ride and control appear to be unchanged. Steering. Joggles. Creak from column dashboard support. Controls rattle. (Should be improved by damping tube inside main tube.) Engine. Period and rattle when clutch pedal pressed. Some smoke after running light but not so bad as I feared, after mileage run. Clutch fairly good and stops OK. Gear Box. Good for silence indirect gears and side shaft. Synchromesh works, but not so good as 35-EX. Chunking is not so marked as expected, certainly no worse than when originally turned out. Brakes. Effective but too much travel. Coachwork. Bad creak in neighbourhood of scuttle. Occasional seats rattle in folded position. Creak at rear near side of body. | ||
