X3873 Exptl. Dept. Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} /Les.12/KW. 31st August, 1934. M. {Mr Moon / Mr Moore} Andre Dubonnet, 33, Rue Des Graviers, (114, Boulevard Maurice-Barres), Neuilly, France. Dear M. {Mr Moon / Mr Moore} Dubonnet, Thank you for your letter dated 14th inst. We have been unable to reply to this previously owing to the fact that we have been getting holidays over. The items you mention are all in the state of manufacture. Items 3525 and 3526 are being produced in Nickel Chrome Steel, and items 3529 and 3530 are being produced in 3½% Nickel Steel. The tube and end pieces of 3571 are being produced in 3½% Nickel Steel. These can therefore not be welded; we suggest that they should be pinned and brazed instead. We will arrange for the chassis to be sent over complete with front axle and body, when you are perfectly ready to commence work on the parts. In the meantime we will try to urge the parts we are producing; unfortunately we ourselves have more work to do than we can manage. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
