Referring to the last paragraph of your note, we have after considerable delay received a letter from the Metropolitan-Vickers Electrical Co.Ltd.,Trafford Park, Manchester, as follows:- "Bakelite Micarta. Mr.B.F.Boyle, Assistant to European "Manager, the Westinghouse Electrical International Co. "has sent us your letter addressed to him on the 25th ult. "in which you ask him to supply two sheets of 1/16" Bakelite "Micarta for experimental purposes. "Perhaps you are not aware the International Co. only "deal with electrical apparatus in this country for our-"selves, hence the reason for Mr.Boyle sending the enquiry "to us. "However, we are going into the matter with him and "hope to let you have samples of Bakelite Micarta in line "with your request as soon as we can obtain the necessary "samples from the States. "Regretting we have no suitable samples immediately "to hand." As I think it possible that the Damard Lacquer Co.Ltd., Birmingham, may be able to assist us to obtain samples of Bakelite Micarta, I am writing to them.
