48940 Hotel de France, Chateauroux. Indre. France. GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux}3/Crn.10.6.25. To: "Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}" From: G.W.Hancock. We thank you for your letter of the 9th inst. We took it for granted that the torque reaction dampers, having been fitted to 40/50 HP cars for some considerable time, would be stocked by Paris depot, otherwise we should have ordered these from Derby. We shall continue to run the car until we receive these parts. With reference to the oil, we have yet no knowledge of any oil arriving here at Chateauroux. We have been continually making enquiries at the garagers, and at the local agent, who has not had any intimation whatever from Wakefields, or anyone else, of any oil having been despatched. The agent is in communication with Wakefield people in Paris, and we shall probably hear something definite shortly. Re the front springs for 20 HP, sent from Derby, as these were sent by Mail Service, it is impossible for us to get any information, as the P.O. deals with these matters. We have not, up to the present, received the springs, but have been kept quite busy on the 20 HP., as you will see by the enclosed report. G.W.Hancock. | ||
