Y 302 Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls}9/MJ.30.10.36. REAR AXLE DRIVERS. As requested, we send further deflection measurements of a P.3 rear axle. As in the previous test the weight of the car was first taken on a crane and then lowered on to the springs. The major deflections appear to be in the end plate and the small diameter part of the axle tubes just inside the spring seats. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/H.Grylls. Attached: Curve. | ||
