R.R. 200M/6/11 (Wraggs 2494 C.Co. Ld.) ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. INSTRUCTIONS. 526 To: Technical Committee Order No. Customer's No. Re: Worm Gearing Jan 10 '12 In the sheet-dated Jan 8. it was not made clear that in a worm wheel section A C B A C B section AA{D. Abbot-Anderson} section BB if C/C is central plane and A/A; B/B are planes equidistant from C/C, then the profile of section A/A & B/B are similar but of opposite hand: therefore either by turning the tracing paper upside down or by considering that the worm on one side has same action as with a forward drive on opposite side it is only necessary to draw one section. Signed: Royce This sheet must be filed on completion of the work. | ||
