If you think it worth while I will analyze graphically the action of the different types suggested in planes separated by 1/4" from each other, it will then be possible to form a good idea of the value of the gearing. But in any future case I should prefer to calculate the shape of worm thread section (rather than get it partly by projection) for the sake of accuracy, the labour is very little more but there is much less chance of error.
