To RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} From Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} X7250 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn.{Mr Robinson}3/MJ.3.1.30. RADIATOR INLET FLANGE. X7250 X4521 With reference to the radiator inlet flange with reduced outlet to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}252 which we instructed in our Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn{Mr Robinson}2/29.11.29. We now find that the back pressure produced by this outlet at high engine speeds is liable to cause the rubber water joint to leak. We are therefore cancelling the modification and putting the restriction on the delivery side of the pump, for which we shall shortly be sending you a sketch. We find that the restriction shewn in LeO.2675 suffers from the same trouble in a more acute degree, and we think that it should be removed from the 23-EX at the first opportunity.
