| GRY{Shadwell Grylls} x222 To Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls} from E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} E.4/HP.22.3.34. re Engine Mounting. Replying to your memo Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls}6/KW.22.3.34, I have already arranged that we shall give you a scheme for carrying the wings and lamps together with the radiator on a central mounting. We shall endeavour to do this by giving you first of all a rough scheme to work to. With regard to the rear engine mounting, we should like you to try the scheme to LeC. 3845 as soon as possible to give us a value for flexibility at the rear end, as we are working on a final scheme for application to the 10,000 mile Bentley. We think that early standardization of flexibility at the rear end is required for the purpose of eliminating booms. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} | ||
