Dear Grylls,

Firstly herewith cheque. I will you please apologise to your cashier for the delay. I gave it to my secretary on Friday to send to Derby with a memo to Repairs Dept. but she apparently thought I wanted her to keep it warm.

I hope you got in touch with Greenwood re the Cord & that you will drop in on your way to Brooklands.

I must say I was very surprised at The Derby Works after not having been up for three years. It seemed to remind me of the time I was at Dartmoor!

[Pencilled note in bottom left margin]
memo from Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} re Lincoln - The Lincoln people are not; so they say, selling off cheaply this year so that.
