1021 Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/EAG.5/ET. 19th March, 1941. Messrs. Wilmot-Breeden, Ltd., Eastern Works - Camden Street, BIRMINGHAM. Attention of Mr. Spicer. Dear Mr Spicer, Regarding our conversation this afternoon with reference to oxydised finishes for interior fittings, you mentioned that oxydised silver would be very expensive. I should be obliged if you could let me have the comparative cost, against chrome. As explained to you, we are looking for a finish that is less glaring than chrome. You mentioned that there is a process which gives a coloured finish. If this is used, I should imagine that it is necessary for the coloured finish to harmonise with the interior trimmings, and that being so, it would complicate stock with a small production. Would it be possible to get a neutral shade that would be suitable for use with any coloured interior trimmings. Yours faithfully, | ||
