1021 Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/EAC.4/ET. 19th March, 1941. The Pressed Steel Co. Ltd., Cowley, O X F O R D.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} Attention Mr. Maton. Dear Mr. Maton, You will probably remember that, during your last visit here, we discussed tacking strips, and also sound deadening. You will also remember that we more or less agreed to use an angular tacking strip instead of the twisted paper cord. Could you let me have the sizes of the sections which you use for small samples. Regarding the sound deadening material, I believe you favour the bitumen and sand mixture, which is sprayed on. If this is so, could you let me have some particulars of it, and where it can be obtained. Should you consider some other material suitable, I should be glad to have particulars as the sample body is being made and I should like to get it treated as nearly as possible in the same manner as the production bodies will be. Hoping you are well and with kind regards, Yours sincerely, | ||
