Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} To E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} from Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} re Radiator Shutters. Copy to Mr. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} x3499. I enclose copy of letter received from Mr.Phil Paddon which is self-explanatory. The disadvantage of thermostatically controlled shutters remaining open when the car is standing still is one about which quite a number of people complain. It certainly is a disadvantage but at the same time it appears to be one which exists on practically all cars so fitted. The suggestion made by Mr.Paddon sounds very interesting and I should be glad to have your views on the subject. I have asked Mr.Paddon whether he has protected the idea or whether to his knowledge it is already patented. Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} Enc. Copy of letter from Mr.Phil Paddon dated 2.5.32 | ||
