Coachbuilders to fix the arm of this bracket to the dash-board in a much neater manner, and more consistent with the R.R. fittings and bolts etc.

I also noticed that this car was fitted with a floorboard heater, after complaining about the rather noisy exhaust. This fitting seems rather crude, being being joined to our exhaust drain pipe by a valve controlled by a Bowden wire, flexible pipes being used,to and from this floorboard heater, these pipes being crudely fastened to our silencer brackets etc. with asbestos string.

I consider we ought to avoid these things being done, as such fittings will I feel sure give trouble sooner or later, and may eventually cause trouble to our exhaust system.

Apart from this, we have rather felt that one of our chief troubles was to keep the rear floorboards cool, whereas with this contrivance the heating apparatus always seemed to be hot, even though the exhaust supply was cut off.
