Dear Sir,

I thank you for your letter of the 14th January, and note that you are anxious to receive supplies of No.6 mixing. We are quite ready to send you these but we understand from your Mr. Royce that we have already fulfilled all outstanding orders.

If this is so and you still require further blocks, would you arrange for the necessary orders to be placed and we will execute these orders in No.6 mixing. We can make immediate delivery.

With reference to your order No.84052, we note that you require this order to be carried through and will immediately make blocks for you in accordance with the first and last type mentioned on that order.

With reference to the two dozen blocks with a free length of 1.050" which are to give deflection of 0.050" under a load of 750 lbs., I am afraid we shall take a little longer. As we explained to you in conversation, it is even possible that we may be quite unable to fulfil this requirement with a solid rubber block and may have to experiment with blocks containing canvas prepared under considerable compression.

Yours faithfully,
FOR DUNLOP RUBBER CO. LTD.,
