West, Esq., c/o.{Mr Oldham} Messrs. Rolls-Royce, Ltd., Derby. Dear Mr. West, Further to my letter of yesterday's date on the subject of plugs for the new 25 h.p. engine, I think the L.K.S.6, which we are now making in large quantities, might be suitable. This would be the most convenient plug both from our point of view and from the point of view of users of the car as it is already stocked by most good garages and in the course of the next few months it will be still further distributed throughout the country so that replacements will be obtainable anywhere. The L.K.S.6 has a similar reach to the 850, but the barrel length is shorter. If, however, you require a plug with a barrel length similar to the 850 I think it would be better for us to suggest making another plug for you. This would be known as No. 914 which we should make up with a reach of 14 m.m. and a length of barrel that would be nearer to that of the 850. I think our first suggestion is probably the better one and I am sending you to-night six standard type L.K.S.6 plugs. If, however, you do not find this type suitable I shall be pleased to send you six of the new type in the course of a few days. Yours sincerely, C. M.{Mr Moon / Mr Moore} Carrington mch. | ||
