DWS. JACKS (LE.12/C.21.11.32.)

We have tested D.W.S. Jakcs on the Phantom II car and they will soon be standardised on this model. We had trouble both on the front and rear due to insufficient ground clearance when using the original type of fixing and have in consequence arranged with the makers to modify the method of fixing them so that they are carried approximately 2" higher than originally. This overcomes the trouble.

On the 20/25HP. we have had no experience of them but can understand the ground clearance on the front axle being insufficient. We will write to the makers and ask them to use a fixing similar to the one we have approved on the Phantom II. On the rear axle it is a much more difficult matter, and we cannot very well ask them to make a special fixing as there is no prospect of standardisation on this Car, also we believe that the present type of rear fixing on the 20/25 is not too bad for road clearance; perhaps you will confirm this?
