For the attention of S.H.Grylls, Esq.

23rd March, 1938.

Dear Sirs,

WRAITH WHEEL & LOCK NUT EQUIPMENT.

Referring to our telephone conversation this morning, we would confirm that in the case of the wheels against your order No: 54600 we shall have no difficulty in providing a cone angle of 30°.

Any wheels which are completely assembled can be allocated to Bentley production.

I do, however, feel you would wish to satisfy yourself on the general arrangement of the mose of the shell with this modified angle, and we understand you will be good enough to let us have your comments on this point.

With regard to the lock nuts, as explained, the whole of the quantity have been rough machined and, therefore, sufficient metal is not available to modify them to the new dimensions. They could, however, be allocated to your Bentley production if you so wished, and we are able to produce from existing stampings nuts for the 30° angle. It would, nevertheless, necessitate ordering material specially.

In view of your comments we are taking no further action until we receive your further instructions.

yours faithfully,
FOR THE DUNLOP RUBBER CO.LTD.
