Tyres.

Attached is a sheet giving details and total estimated weight of 34 Ex at the time when the tyres burst during the African run.

The back of the car weighed 4411 lbs, The tyres being 7.50 x 18" "90" type. Working from Dunlops figures, 4256 lbs is the approximate maximum per axle weight that these tyres are designed to carry under normal conditions.

The attached figures show that the overload was only in the region of 100lbs, but it appears that when the car was weighed at Nairobi the total weight at the rear was 5250 lbs, giving
