6153 EXPERIMENTAL DEPARTMENT. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/RC.{R. Childs}14/JH. 17th. July, 1939. World Radio Ltd., Edgware Road, LONDON.N.W.2. For the attention of R.M. Papelian Esq. Dear Sirs, We thank you for your letters of the 14th. July. We shall be pleased to test one of your latest model 9-47 radio sets and have arranged for an order to be placed for one of these units, complete with one of your M.95.B. type running board aerials. Owing to the small floor clearance of the running boards on our latest Bentleys, we find it most difficult to fit an efficient aerial as the "effective height" is very limited. We would try the overhead type but the general appearance of such, as we know it, is not very suitable. Can you recommend a roof serial suitable for the Bentley? Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
