Contd. -2- EFC1/T29.4.20. C. We have had tungsten rivets .125" dia. for low tension contacts from the Independent Lamp & Wire Co., of U.S.A., one pair of which have been fitted to a blade and screw of the battery ignition and run for 6 hours on the bench with satisfactory results. These are now fitted to chassis 49-GB for further tests. We are further instructing another pair of these contacts to be fitted to another blade and screw in order to confirm the results, should the test on 49-GB turn out satisfactory. D.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} We also have some smaller tungsten rivets .109" dia., also received from the same Company, but these are rather too small to be of any much use. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} We further have a pair of contacts from this Company suitable for Bosch magnetos. These will be tried out on the bench tests of the American Bosch magnetos in due course. EFC. | ||
