X.8430 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} To PN{Mr Northey} from CJ. Copy to R.{Sir Henry Royce} Copy to Wox. Copy to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Re Steering. CJ9/E27/4/25 Carlos de Salamanca recently saw R.{Sir Henry Royce} in the South of France and of his own initiative stated that in his opinion the steering should be lower geared. Apparently R.{Sir Henry Royce} agrees with this but you are dead against it. This is a matter really which can only be settled by definite experience and doubtless the Works will be submitting a chassis fitted with lower gearing for trial by Sales, so that we may arrive at a fair judgment.
