Y235 HS. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} BY6/H. 26.3.26. HYDRAULIC SHOCK DAMPER. I am returning herewith the original letter from Rm. {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} on the Hydraulic Shock Damper, showing certain modifications R. {Sir Henry Royce} wishes to incorporate. I am also sending you typed copy of same which we have made, and also with Da {Bernard Day - Chassis Design} 's copy of this memo. We are modifying the third scheme of shock absorber which was produced, that is to say, the shock absorber which was produced with the features shown on N.Sch. 2153. showing the smaller diameter of piston, without modifying the dimensions of the piston itself. Having modified this scheme in accordance with the suggestions put forward by Rm. {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} as representing R's views, we propose to consider this shock absorber the one which is to be adopted for production. We are retaining the blueprints with pencilled modifications on, to enable us to bring our drawings up to date. BY. {R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} By ENCLOSURE No 669 "JUSTSO" | ||
