20 HP. CAR. Sgll/24.S.29.

The 20 HP. car was examined by R.{Sir Henry Royce} on Monday and we understand he was pleased with it.

The car crossed over to France yesterday.

As regards the car meeting PN.{Mr Northey} It is going to seriously interfere with the testing if the car has to go to Boulogne to meet PN.{Mr Northey} Previously, it has always been arranged that anyone who wished to try the car should proceed to Chateauroux. The reason for this is that when running the test at 500 miles per day, there are actually 7 men employed. The whole routine of the job would be upset by sending the car to Boulogne. We should have 6 men in France idle whilst the car was going to Boulogne.

We recommend that the routine of the test should not be obstructed, and if PN.{Mr Northey} wishes to try the car before it has completed the 9000 miles, he should go to Chateauroux.

After the 9,000 miles are completed we will then hand the car over to Sales to complete the 10,000 miles test.
