Copy. 200a Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} from Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} c. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Cx.{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager} Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}1/R.8.12.37. 6.B.IV. We attach a specification of this car - reference Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/IMW.{Ivan M. Waller - Head of Chateauroux}1/AP.8.12.37. We also attach a chart of the gear ratios which have been obtained with the overdrive box. It will be observed that the bottom gear ratio is slightly higher than the standard 4¼-litre. The starting torque available, however, is better than that provided on the 3½-litre Bentley on which we had no complaint. It is not proposed to send the car out to France before Christmas, but as soon as Sales have completed their tests it will run mileage in England. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
