Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}15/KW. 7th January 1935. Messrs. Rolls Royce Ltd., Experimental Dept., DERBY. Dear Sirs, For the attention of W.A.Robotham Esq. We are duly in receipt of your communication of the 2nd, and are pleased to note that, so far, the endurance tests on the latest RR.53 pistons appear to be proceeding satisfactorily. We hope you will advise us at the earliest possible moment that you consider it safe to go ahead with the grinding sizes already established. Actually, we are proceeding slowly on these sizes, but very soon we expect pressure from the Buying Department for deliveries. Your official order for two further sets has come to hand and we are accordingly despatching these to you to-night. Yours faithfully, pp THE LIGHT PRODUCTION CO. LTD. GENERAL MANAGER. | ||
