TRIBUTE from MISS ELSIE TATTERSALL
The famous Motor Boat Racer
Clayton Lodge, Southend-on-Sea.
17th January, 1927.
Dear Sirs,
The "Blackman" Petrol Filter with which you supplied me some time ago, was fitted to my 3-litre racing boat, "Spitfire II," and the engine has since been entirely free from choked jets and other carburettor troubles.
Even more surprising than the quantity of impurities which persist in finding their way into the petrol, is the amount of such impurities which I find deposited in the sump of the "Blackman" Filter after each race.
It is also noteworthy that my petrol consumption has been noticeably less since using your filter.
Wishing you the success which your admirable invention deserves.
Yours faithfully, (Signed) ELSIE M.{Mr Moon / Mr Moore} TATTERSALL.

Miss Tattersall informs us that the "Blackman" Petrol Filter greatly contributed to her success in winning the following Trophies:—
International Trophy de Paris
The Mountbatten Cup
The Enciery Trophy
The "Miss Empire" Cup
The Cordon Rouge
and many other trophies during the 1926 season.

The Blackman Petrol Filter Co., Ltd., London W.C.2, England.
Gentlemen,
We have refrained from replying to your letter of June 7th, in which you drew our attention to the performance of your filter in Paris, fitted to the Senechal car for reason that we wished to more carefully check its action.
Please be advised the filter you sent us has now been in use under every test and condition, for a period recording a mileage of over 7,000—that at no time has the filter failed to function, and that our experience with the same is absolutely satisfactory.
We would be pleased to receive your best quotation in quantities of 1,000 on this filter also inlet and outlet connections to be machined and threaded to take our standard N.P.T. pipe threads.
Yours very truly, E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} P. CLARKSON, Managing Director.
