To R.{Sir Henry Royce} from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. to CJ. BJ. c. to BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} X3592 HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}3/LG11.12.24. RE. GOSHAWKS. X3587 Referring to R1/M3.12.24. The RR. Bendix has never been fitted to a car. It was assumed that as the improved Bijur was the later scheme, this was to be desired. It was thought that the improved R.R. Bendix, although it would overcome the trouble of the springs breaking on the original Bendix, it could not give such a smooth engagement as with the slipping clutch. The original Bendix Drives are being replaced at our Depots as the cars come in. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
