-2- Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}26/W.11.2.32.Cont'd.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} Reviewing our position - we are actually on production with the synchro-mesh box for the 25 HP. which will give us a remarkably silent third gear and very easy change. The Phantom II box, made to a similar design, should be running on a car in about four weeks, and as all the difficulties have been thrashed out on the 25 HP. we do not anticipate that we shall have much difficulty with this box and therefore it should be quickly ready for production. The gearbox we have for the epicyclic third is so much less complete than the Wilson gearbox that I do not think we should ever wish to attempt to sell cars fitted with this scheme. The box, however, should be useful as an experimental piece of apparatus to enable us to thrash out some of the problems of producing the complete easy change gearbox. Otherwise, we think we have gone as far as we can usefully go with this experiment. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
