| -2- Cont'd:- c. We have no car on which to try the Turbo-Transmitter which has not our servo assisted brakes. It would appear to be necessary to provide in the gearbox a drive for the brake servo, an arrangement of which we attach herewith. The ratio of the drive is 10½ to 1. To make for ease of installation the servo plate should be approx. 6.250 in. from the centre line of the transmission. and on the drivers side. d. {John DeLooze - Company Secretary} We presume that provision is made for a speedometer drive. This should run at ¼ engine speed. e. {Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} The starter ring appears to be approx. the same diameter as that of the Bentley. We need particulars of the diameter and teeth. Modifications to the starter motor drive will be called for due to the different position of the gear relative to the crankshaft flange. f. {Mr Friese} There appears to be indicated some controls to the gearbox and we would need particulars of these. g. {Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} It would be necessary to provide an attachment for the rear engine mounting on the under side of the gearbox casing at the rear. This could be schemed if we had a detail drawing of the casing. We apologise for going into so much detail, but it will be seen that quite a lot of work is called for to install the Turbo-Transmitter in a Bentley chassis, and that much more detailed information is necessary before any designs can be put in hand. As soon as we receive from you this information we shall be delighted to give the matter further design consideration, if and when conditions permit.
