Double Battery Ignition on Japan III and Phantom II Referring to your W/M7.2.31. I have been to see the Continental Engines at Messrs. Godman, Brittain & Nutter Ltd., but, unfortunately, I have not been able to gather any useful information. There was no engine there such as illustrated on the page of the "Automobile Engineer" which you sent, and which is returned herewith. There was no engine there which had double high tension distributor ignition. There was noone there except a young girl to give information, and she could not. I understand that the Technical Director, Mr. Brittain, will be there on Friday, and if you like, I will endeavour to find him then and get to know more about this matter. I am enclosing a pamphlet which appears to be the nearest resemblance to the design with which we are concerned, but has not got double ignition. P.H 2 encs. [STAMP: RECEIVED 11 FEB 1931] | ||
