| Exptl. Dept. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Les.24/KW. 30th October, 1935. The British Tyre & Rubber Co.Ltd., Leyland, Lancs. Dear Sirs, Referring to your letters of the 25th and 29th inst., although we much regret that the steel inserts were not correct to drawing, we are alarmed that they have not yet arrived back at our Works for alteration. With regard to the 6. rubbers F.86914, and 3. rubbers G.82625, these have now arrived. It appears from these two items that there is some unnecessary delay in transport. We have made careful enquiries at this end, but cannot trace any cause for delay. There was an item in our letter of Sept. 13th where we asked for some sample grades of rubber to F.60398/9, ranging from durometer 30 to durometer 85. Can you please let us know what has happened about these rubbers, for we can find no trace of them. We are now also requiring 6 more rubbers to F.87575, durometer 45-50. Our Order Office tell us that you have plenty of inserts. Will you please also return to us 2 steel inserts F.87576. We should like to know exactly when and how the inserts G.83186 were despatched by you. We trust that in future we shall be able to reduce all the transport delay. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
