windscreen pillars, and at the lower end of the front wings. They are not yet really bad, but I feel that before very long I shall have to take the car back to the coachbuilders to have these welded up. I think if the vibration in the wings could be eliminated, there would be no trouble with these as far as cracking is concerned, and if, in eliminating the front wing flap the whole chassis were stiffened up, other cracks which are developing in the bodywork might be stopped.

(7). The rear luggage compartment is far from dust-proof: I think though, that this could be improved considerably without very much trouble. Travelling on the Continent, I am afraid one's luggage would suffer considerably, as the suction of the car seems to pull the dust from the road into this rear compartment.

(8). The direction indicators fitted in the central pillars of the body are not always reliable, and if travelling at any speed the wind resistance is sufficient to prevent them from falling back into their slots.

Generally speaking, the bodywork is not up to Rolls-Royce standard, while the chassis, in every respect, certainly is.

Yours sincerely,

(Signed) GEOFFREY SUMMERS.
