As regards the E.A.C. engine, we advise caution and further tests. Towards the end of the month the modifications mentioned by R.{Sir Henry Royce} will be fitted on a chassis and everybody will have a chance of testing same, but we think we should be very certain that the engine satisfies not only the Works but Sales, before we venture to sell as a sporting chassis, without harm to our reputation.

He. points out that this chassis will be available for test by you and BJ. towards the end of the month, with most of the modifications on. We therefore think that until we have this car fitted up and tested it would be the best policy to defer any decision on this engine.

The alterations that are taking place would not mean much scrap as regards jigs, tools etc. and this point would not be a serious difficulty or serious expense.

We do not think that in the Adopted Scheme there is any infringement of other people's patents.
