The Leyland & Birmingham Rubber Co.Ltd.,
LEYLAND.

For the attention of Mr.Gollop.

Dear Sirs,

We have received your letter of the 10th inst., for which we thank you and note that you can make the hose connection mentioned therein, also your remarks as regards cost. We presume that when you say four times the price of the present type you mean four times the price of the connection to Ew.1633 i.e. approximately 2/6d. per connection. We would mention that this special hose is being considered for a separate job and not as an alternative to the Ew.1633 one.

Before requesting you to put any tools in hand for making a sample, we will send you the final detail drawing of the hose required. We would, however, like to hear from you what the part tool cost for this special hose will be.

We have not yet received the sample hose to Ew.1633 which you promised to send us on Wednesday last.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
