W/S. Cx.{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager} From Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}7/MJ.14.7.33. Replying to Cx.{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager}7/KW.11.7.33. Many thanks for the above memo. We have at various times looked over the Golden Bugatti. This car has been exhibited at various motor shows. It is a car which we have very little interest in - it is far too large and heavy to suit modern requirements. [Handwritten Annotation] Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Neither Royce nor Hives looked upon the Bugatti as being competition to R-R & our Paris Office People had good relations with 'Le Patron' who on more than one occasion went out of his way to be friendly & helpfull. I do not know whether Royce & Ettore B met (I wonder very much like to know, if so with what outcome) MTh | ||
