Huckerby}25.10.38. LADY SASSOON'S CAR. With regard to Br/G.25/G.17.10.38, we frequently have letters from customers who want to run on some special oil in which they are financially interested. We always reply that the correct viscosity for the lubricant for their car is "so-and-so", that there are several oils recommended in our instruction book, and that we shall take no responsibility for a failure that can be attributed to unsuitable oil. Perhaps you will write to Lady Sassoon in this vein. It is impossible at the Works to test the suitability of the oil, or, in fact, to come to any conclusion about it without doing a lot of mileage.
