LUBRICATION OF UNIVERSAL JOINT. X4254. (Y4406) We have not yet overcome the oil leaking from the universal joints. Several modifications we have made have proved a failure. We are sending to Mr. Royce some literature we have obtained from the Spicer Mfg. Corp. U. S. A. {Mr Adams} These people are specialists on the manufacture of Universal Joints similar to the one we used on Goshawk 11. As the joints manufactured by these people are used on a hundred different makes of cars and Trucks in U. S. A. {Mr Adams} , they should know something about it. In their instructions they recommend that after the joint has once been oiled, grease should be used. We propose trying this method because it would suit us and if we can fit the Enots Lubricator to this joint it would become a fairly simple operation to lubricate.
