Many thanks for your letter of the 22nd inst., in connection with Ariel Motors, and before arranging a date on which we could visit these people together, there are one or two other firms that we might work in at the same time, who are potentially big users of this bearing. As you will see from the enclosed prints, Morris Commercial are very interested and I believe the bearings are intended for use on the Saurer Engine. I am looking up therefore, all the enquiries we have received to see whether there are any others which are entirely new applications on which we should like your help and advice, so that we can get together and have a day in Birmingham and Coventry area to tackle this matter. However, after you have had a look at these Morris Commercial bearings you may feel that we should then have good cause to visit Birmingham immediately and I will be only too pleased to fix up any date convenient to your goodself. Incidentally, we have just received today an enquiry from Bristol Tramways and Carriage Co, who would like to use this new bearing alloy on their Gardner Engines. I believe I have already informed you that Gardners themselves are interested and have asked us to forward them a machined bearing for their inspection, as they are sufficiently interested to make a trial, and immediately I get | ||
