22nd. April 1938.

Messrs. Wellworthy Ltd.,
Lymington,
HANTS.

For the attention of Mr.Blackith.

Dear Sirs,

We thank you for your letter of the 20th. inst. with reference to Ariel big end bearings.

We see no objection to using the material as a thin strip bearing providing there is sufficient backing for the bearing.

It would perhaps in the circumstances be better if we could arrange to visit Ariel Motors and discuss the problem with them. Could you therefore, arrange to meet the Ariel people and let the writer know the date, when he will arrange to meet you if you will state a time and meeting place.

Yours faithfully,

for ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
