re Ulster Bentley.
Many thanks for your letter of the 29th June, with your copy of T.T. Regulations, and also for your letter of the 2nd inst. enclosing full size drawing No.30032.
I am sorry not to have replied before but the whole matter has been in doubt until Mr Hall came to Derby and discussed the problems arising out of this proposal personally.
We have now, however, definitely settled the capacity of the tank, and I am enclosing herewith a blueprint No.LeC.5192 showing its shape and position.
The final constructional details of the tank as shewn on this print are not yet settled, but the main shape, which is the point of interest, is exact. You will notice, as Mr Hall no doubt informed you, that this tank demands a rise in the top bodyline and the decking.
With regard to reversing the shock absorber joint pin, we are enclosing herewith further blueprint No.LeC.4011, from which you will see in the plan view that we are unable to do this without fouling the chassis frame.
We could however reduce the overhang of the nut on the inner side, as indicated by the marking of the drawing, and we shall be pleased to do this if it
