GMU-10. Baron de Reuter.

Baron de Reuter is a friend of ours, and lends us his car whenever we want to give a trial run on a 20/25 HP model.

This chassis has been criticised by prospective customers, and we must agree that there is cause for criticisms which are as follows:

At 25 m.p.h there is a most marked engine vibration which disappears at 35 m.p.h.

When decelerating from 60 m.p.h. there is a most pronounced exhaust boom which is extremely unpleasant.

What can you do to help us? The deceleration boom gives one the impression that the exhaust pipes and silencer have become very badly over-stressed due to expansion, and the result is that when you are decelerating the whole of these parts are trying to straighten themselves out. Do you think we have enough expansion joints in our exhaust system?

You will be rendering us a great service, as I know you understand these complaints, if you could send over with "GWH{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux}" any new parts which should be fitted on this car (it being a very valuable car to us) when he crosses on the 10th instant.
