MOVING IRON AMMETER FOR 40/50 INSTRUMENT PATCH

For some time we have been testing a Weston moving iron ammeter such as is fitted to our American L.H. chassis. Whilst this instrument is not as good on initial tests as the small Lucas ammeter we have been testing, we consider it would be satisfactory on all normal chassis work. In any case R.{Sir Henry Royce} has definitely expressed his approval for the Weston rather than the Lucas.

In order that we may test one of these out satisfactorily on the chassis, we should like a Weston moving iron ammeter arranged to fit a 40/50 instrument patch so that we may try the ammeter out on the next 40/50 chassis now being built up for a 10,000 mile test. Will you therefore please obtain a suitable ammeter to suit our 40/50 instrument patch.
