Treatment of Petrol Pump Castings against Corrosion.

We have had an instance where water has found its way into the petrol system on one of our cars, and has set up an Alum. Hydroxide corrosion both in the Petrol Pump casting and Petrol Filter bowl.

We wish in future that these castings and bowls be treated with AL's anti-corrosion solution.

Will you therefore please make arrangements and give instructions to the S.U. Co. for this treatment to be carried out on future Pump Castings as soon as possible.

They should be treated when all machining is done, but before the brass tubes or steel studs are inserted and before enamelling.

With regard to the Filter bowls, perhaps you can arrange that the inside of these are treated in the Works on receiving them from Messrs. Enots.
