FOUR SPEED BOX. CONTINUOUS GEARS.

I am sending you herewith three pairs of continuous gears which have been ground with the large special form of tooth.

The object the design has in view is to get rid of the humming which is caused by the trapping of the oil. In looking at the tooth I am inclined to think we have not gone far enough in the direction of making the tooth contours run up to an edge.

Would you kindly arrange to have these fitted to a car and let me hear the results.

Cogwheels these are the wheels C.9448/9 which were intended some time ago for tests.
